Firstly, we hope that you, your employees and families are all safe and well during these challenging times due to coronavirus.
We want to provide you with an update on the latest supply and service provision from MIT. In summary, we continue to operate providing you with units and spares supply along with aftermarket services.
We have taken stringent measures from early on in this crisis to ensure the health and safety of our staff and visitors including deliveries to our sites and these stringent measures continue.
Our key suppliers, Twin Disc (Belgium and Italy) and Transfluid (Italy) have suspended their operations and we have seen a number of our customers close their operations too. We have been designated as Key Workers for the Ministry of Defence and we are also active suppliers in the UK’s Energy and Port sectors.
Considering this changing situation, we have reduced our operational staff numbers and our office staff now work from home. The only area of our business that will not continue is our machining services division, which ceases operation immediately and is likely to recommence later in April. All other areas of our business remain fully operational.
Furthermore, we have an extensive free stock holding, with our inventory exceeding over £2M in value, including new units, spares and reconditioned service exchange stock.
Units and spares deliveries from MIT will continue, and our service centres remain fully open.

To protect our employees, we encourage our customers that require emergency breakdown or service support to arrange the return of your equipment. We can then complete the work in one of our service centres.
We can, in certain circumstances, visit your site, once a thorough risk assessment has been conducted.
