It is generally caused by overfilling the transmission; check the dipstick oil level and drain the transmission back to normal indicated levels.
Normally, it is caused by clutch plates and shaft sealing rings that can be worn out. It is advisable that the transmission be overhauled to prevent any further damage to other components.
It is normally caused by worn out / slipping clutch plates that cause the transmission to overheat. Again, it is a sign that the transmission needs to be overhauled before any further damage is caused.
