It is with great pleasure that we announce the latest addition to our team: Paul Youé, who will be joining us in a pivotal sales role at MIT. With a career spanning over thirty years in the Marine industry, Paul brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success that is unparalleled in our field.
Paul’s journey in the marine sector began with the Royal Navy, where he served for almost eight years as a Leading Marine Engineer. His responsibilities included maintaining and repairing a wide array of ship equipment, from gas turbine main engines to power generation diesel engines and beyond.
Following his time with the Royal Navy, Paul transitioned to the private sector and continued to make waves. His roles have been diverse and impactful, including positions such as Service Manager at Sunkeeper Mexico, where he oversaw service and support for the luxury yacht market, and Senior Installation Engineer at Fletcher Sportsboats, where he was responsible for the meticulous installation of engines and associated drives.
Perhaps most notably, Paul spent 23 years at Finning (UK), where he ascended through the ranks from Applications Engineer to Sales Manager for Key Accounts. His tenure at Finning was marked by significant achievements, including:
- Technical Prowess: Paul was instrumental in repowering the entire Royal Naval Fleet of P2000 Archer Class vessels, integrating the new CAT C18 Marine propulsion engine with cutting-edge technology.
- Record-Setting Projects: He played a key role in engineering the propulsion system for “The Bradstone Challenger,” which set a new British record for circumnavigating the British Isles.
- Innovation in Service: Paul led the re-powering of the MOD police boats and developed a bespoke genset solution for a Thames passenger ferry operator, ensuring an entire fleet of vessels was equipped with reliable power generation.
