We are excited to announce that Axel Johnson International’s business group, Driveline Solutions; of which MIT is part of, has strengthened its position in the Norwegian filter market with the acquisition of Ditech, a leading provider of filter solutions for marine, off-highway, and industrial applications. This partnership marks a strategic expansion, reinforcing Axel Johnson’s commitment to providing high-quality filtration solutions in key markets.
Ditech, headquartered in Sandefjord, Norway, has built a strong reputation for its technical expertise and comprehensive filter offerings. The company maintains a large stock of approximately 70,000 filters from globally leading brands. Dedicated to serving customers effectively, their customer portal plays a significant role as a key tool, providing a platform for managing orders and accessing product information.
“Expanding our filter business is a strategic priority for Driveline Solutions, and Ditech is a great addition to our group,” says Jan Brattberg, Managing Director of Driveline Solutions. “The company’s strong technical know-how, excellent market position, and long-term approach align well with our values. With this acquisition, we are not only strengthening our presence in Norway but also enabling further growth through synergies and enhanced expertise.”
Ditech has demonstrated strong growth, recently investing in new facilities to support its expansion. The move, completed in April 2024, boosts revenue capacity and highlights the company’s growth ambitions and customer service. With new facilities and advancements in their digital systems, including e-commerce, the company is well-positioned for continued growth.
Morten Andre Karlsen, Managing Director of Ditech, will continue to lead the company going forward. “It feels great to partner with Axel Johnson International due to their deep understanding of the industry and the market. This expertise opens new opportunities for Ditech to reach new heights,” says Karlsen. “For our customers and employees, it is business as usual – we remain committed to continuous development and delivering high-quality filter solutions.”
Morten Andre Karlsen, along with Johannes Solsvik, Sales Manager of Ditech, and Marthe Benedikte Frydenberg, Marketing Manager of Ditech, will remain minority shareholders and continue to play key roles in developing the business going forward.
