MIT, the UK’s leading drivetrain systems provider, recently celebrated its 50th anniversary with a grand event in London. Founded in 1974, MIT has grown into a centre of excellence in driveline and propulsion systems, serving the Marine, Industrial, and Off-Highway sectors across the UK, Ireland, and beyond.
The evening began with a VIP reception at AxHouse, attended by our esteemed distribution partners from Twin Disc, Transfluid, Servogear, Danfoss Drives, and ZF, as well as the Hill family, who founded the business. Important partners from National Maritime and other AxInter groups were also present. The reception featured inspiring speeches from Jan Brattberg, MD of Driveline Solutions, John Logue, MD of MIT, and Jeremy Hill, son of founder Rodney Hill, who shared their reflections on MIT’s journey and future aspirations.
Following the reception, the celebration continued with the entire MIT team, including members from Yorkshire, Kent, Hampshire, and Ireland, on a City Cruises riverboat. The event was a fantastic opportunity for our team to come together, reflect on our achievements, and look forward to the future. The celebration featured a delightful hot buffet dinner, a scenic river cruise on the Erasmus, and an evening filled with fun activities, including a lively casino and disco. The atmosphere was electric, with colleagues and partners enjoying the festivities and celebrating the significant milestone.
