Hardy Marine, a renowned UK boatbuilder was asked to commission a motorboat complete with full package Twin Disc gears and controls, including EC300 controls, MGX 5065a gears, Joystick Controls and Express Positioning for elegant user interface and ultimate tight space boat control.

Designed to build on the reputation of the Hardy 36, the Hardy 42 is a top-quality sea-kindly cruising boat with lively performance. The latest Hardy 42’s are capable of nearly 28 knots in heavy weather in comfort.

Being a repeat of a customer’s previous Hardy 42, it was thought it could prove a tricky project. However from initial spec all the way through to commissioning and handover, engineering was smooth and without trouble.

This being the first full package supplied to Hardy/Windboats, we are mighty impressed/. The joystick is a dream to use and the Express positioning is something else. Very impressive indeed.
