Clutch Retrofit Terex Powerscreen
The customer approached MIT experiencing issues with their previously fitted clutch. The clutch failed to disengage, which was caused by worn components, which causes severe problems with a cone crusher and the lubricated bearings.
The customer approached their current clutch manufacturer to investigate options to repair or replace. The manufacturer did not offer a repair, only a replacement. The replacement of the clutch required it to be updated to a new model, including a new control system and wiring, resulting in very high costs and downtime.
MIT was able to retrofit the failed clutch without the need to upgrade any software or wiring. A Transfluid HFO314KV heavy-duty retrofit package was supplied using MIT’s own hydraulic manifold.
Furthermore, MIT provided on-site support to fully optimize the retrofit and return the machinery to working order within one day.
