MIT form working co-operation with CMC Marine
09/01/2012
MIT have formed a working co-operation with Italian based CMC Marine, who this year made a big impact at METS, with their Stabilis Electra range of AC electric roll fin stabilisers won the Category for “Machinery, propulsion, mechanical and electrical systems and fittings category in the prestigious DAME Awards at METS.
MIT have worked for over 35 years supplying new units, spares and service for marine gears, power-shift transmissions, power take offs and associated products for drive line and propulsion systems. The CMC Product line of hydraulic or AC electric roll fin stabilisers, bow & stern thrusters fits very well with their product portfolio.
Founded in 2005, CMC designs, builds and markets their product range from their facility close to Lake Como. The latest Stabilis Electra AC range of stabilisers is a unique and revolutionary new design to overcome the problem of limited on-board hydraulics and operational noise. Stabilis Electra uses a new generation of drive components and controls to move a fin stabilizer.
To ensure quality of service and knowledge to their customer base, MIT’s service engineers, applications and sales staff will receive on-going training from CMC Marine on both current installations and in the class room.
The CMC Marine products will first be shown by MIT in the UK market at the Seawork exhibition in May 2012, but they will then be demonstrating and introducing the product to their customers both in the leisure and commercial sectors prior to this show.
MIT, CEO Geoff Pearce commented. “We have been impressed with the uniqueness and capability of the AC Stabilis Electra. We see it has great potential for both new build and retrofit markets and look forward to working with the CMC team”.
