MOD Crash Fire Tenders

MIT are now midway through a contract to overhaul 76 RIV Crash Fire Tenders for the MOD. The work involves overhauling the Power Dividers, replacing transmissions with the TD61 1179 Model and replacing the electronic controls with T Dec 400 Units, all manufactured and supplied by Twin Disc.

RIV’s or Rapid Intervention Vehicles are very powerful and robustly built. They offer quick acceleration and speed over most terrains. These vehicles have seen service all over the world in both confrontational and non confrontational environments and MIT’s work will ensure their useable life for another 10 years.

Investment in specialist workshop tools, for this project, will enable MIT to service and overhaul many other types of vehicle.
