Surface Drive Propulsion Systems

Amongst the most efficient marine propulsion system in the world Arneson Surface Drive Propulsion system has been designed to solve problems related to conventional shaft systems, when travelling in excess of 35knts. Reducing underwater drag by 50% in comparison to conventional submerged propellers, the results are a higher overall speed, quicker acceleration, better payload to power ratio, and with the less drag, the overall fuel economy and operating costs are significantly reduced.

Available in ten model sizes, with various configurations for each model, Arneson Surface Propulsion systems are available in Bronze or Aluminum, straight or drop centre models, 12 or 24 volts and the new Dual-Fin surface drives are available in ASD8 and ASD10.

Integrated Hydraulic Systems

When used in conjunction with a surface piercing propeller the amount of submergence can be adjusted whilst underway.  This enables the crew of the vessel to establish optimum thrust angle for the varying loads and sea conditions they are faced with. The trim function also allows for the propeller to be trimmed down to increase manoeuvring when reversing.
