Since 1974 Marine & Industrial Transmissions Ltd, (MIT) have been prime suppliers of new units, spares and service of marine gears, power-shift transmissions, power take offs and associated products for drive line and propulsion systems. 

With our head office in Queenborough, Kent and a Northern office in Hensall, Yorkshire we have provided expertise and quality products for over 35 years. Working with well known suppliers such as Twin Disc, Transfluid, CMC Marine, Arneson and Rubber Design, MIT have provided and maintained equipment to power products manufactured by the likes of Sunseeker, Irish Rail, Terex, South Boats, and the M.O.D. At MIT we continue to expand our services and products offered to maintain our position as being one of the major suppliers in the UK of drive line and propulsion solutions to all aspects of the marine, off road, quarry, rail, military and associated industries.

Our product portfolio is ever increasing and the application list includes concrete crushers, recycling equipment, locomotives, pleasure marine and commercial marine, including fishing boats & ferries. Whether the requirement is for production models or one off's, we are confident we have the products to satisfy most applications.

MIT regularly work with projects throughout the lifecycle of the product, from the initial work with designers, through to production and aftermarket and eventually, in time, replacement parts. 

In addition to our new unit sales and applications department, our service operation and spare parts department offers repair, rebuilds or spares for most other makes of transmissions and marine gears. Our engineering and machining workshop offer services from complete installation and fabrication for single component to volume component manufacture.

MIT achieved ISO9001:2008 in 2002 and following a programme of investment in staff training in 2010 MIT also attained Investors In People accreditation.
